Amazing little hotel right in the centre this beautiful village. Ample parking for guests. The room was adjacent to the parking lot on the ground level which was really convenient. The room was large, very clean, very comfy and big bed like in the best hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful (Simone). The hotel has a wonderful bar and excellent restaurant for the evening meal. Absolutely no need to go looking elsewhere although we were also recommended a great burger place just opposite the hotel for lunch. The breakfast was lovely, buffet style - cereals, cheeses, yoghurts and continental, plus tea/coffee and eggs to order.

Perfect location — just a short walk to the museum and the charming Mini Bourton-on-the-Water. We stayed in the upstairs room in the side building and absolutely loved it. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and overall it was a wonderful stay.

Location with the small river running through the town was very picturesque. Lots of good eateries, Box Bush was our favourite bakery for breakfast. Had the oats with chia and also the yoghurt as well as various pastries, all yummy. Coffee was quite acceptable.

The village itself is picturesque with a shallow river running through it , which children and dogs liked splashing around in. There is a varied supply of shops to visit .... they even had a fantastic Christmas shop ! We dined in the village for the 3 nights we were there and there was plenty of choices of restaurants/pubs to choose from . In the village itself there was a motor museum , a miniature village , a maze and Bird land which housed a huge variety of birds from around the world and we were lucky enough to see the staff feeding the penguins there and telling us all , everything we probably ever need to know about Penguins. Every evening it seemed that most people were just strolling along the river bank of stopping for food or drinks in the many locations available there. I loved our visit to Bourton On The Water and will definitely return

A picturesque English village with an old world charm.

A picturesque English village with an old world charm. Its location makes it easy to get to Lower & Upper Slaughter & Stow on the Wold. The river with its stone bridges runs through the centre of the village and there are a good selection of shops and cafes/restaurants. However, its beauty is over run by the hoards of tourists who takeover the town during the day. To enjoy this place go early or stay overnight and wait till early evening …

    Bourton-on-the-Water is a lovely town.

Bourton-on-the-Water is a lovely town. Unfortunately, we were there during a heatwave, so everyone came to the town to swim in the water and cool down. So between the tourists and the locals, the place was very busy. The town is very quaint and has great little stores.

As a village Bourton on the Water, was the most busy. We did not spend a lot of time in the village, only did half a day there, and went twice for dinner. However, the restaurants were full and it is highly recommended to book beforehand. The other villages were more quiet and we enjoyed longer strolling there and having lunch and coffees.

As the weather gets hotter, people descend on places like Boughton as it's very welcoming, having paddles in the cold stream and picnics on the banks. You can't live in a very picturesque place without having the crouds to share it and the economy needs it. The ice creams very tasty and the people very welcoming.

Warm, friendly staff – made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Relaxed and charming atmosphere – perfect for a peaceful Cotswolds getaway. Great location – in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water, with easy access to the village. Impressive hotel restaurant – despite the many nearby pubs and eateries, we chose to eat in every night. Delicious Italian tapas was a particular highlight– slightly smaller menu than our last visit, but every dish was top quality and full of flavour. Overall excellent value for money.

Perfect location, welcomed by a toasty open fire and lovely welcoming bar. Lovely room, clean, comfy and peaceful. The hotel booking comes with free entry to the Model Village which was a lovely touch. This hotel made the Cotswolds feel that little bit more special. Breakfast is served in a beautiful bright room, spoilt for choice! We had a lovely meal in The Tap Room, brilliant service and a friendly environment.
