The hotel was perfect, set in glorious Cotswolds countryside. Everything about the hotel was professional and the staff were attentive and couldn't do enough for us. We loved our top-quality twin room with large comfortable beds and a luxurious bathroom. Breakfast was second to none and you got the experience of what it is like to be 'to the manor born'. I look forward to staying again for sure.

I paid for the continental breakfast and it was really good. The hotel provided big mugs and the coffee was excellent. There was also thick bread for toasting with a good selection of jams. The hotel also provided different cereals, fruit and buns. The location can't be beat, especially if you're arriving by train as it is right next to the train station. The room was spacious and reflected the feel of the town of Stroud. The bathroom was large, with a big bathtub and lots of light. I was able to open the window in my room too, which allowed for lots of fresh air into the room.

Nailsworth is a very large village/small town.

Nailsworth is a very large village/small town. Interesting buildings, and shops, walks by the river. A brilliant cafe in an old mill by the river that is run by an organisation training young persons who need extra help. The food and service is great. Plenty of pubs, some have entertainment too. Supermarkets, including a small Tesco that is open 6am-11pm. Most important - free car parks!! but check the hours allowed for Long Term and short term car parks so you are in the correct one.
