There is a lot to see and do and not just the beach. Great variety of shops and events to suite people of all ages. A lot of road works which hinder travel but when complete, should enable better transit times and accessibility.

The city is highly popular among tourists and offers a wide range of cafes and restaurants. However, I found the prices to be quite high. Nevertheless, the customer service in these establishments surpasses that of Sydney. One of the highlights of my trip was strolling along the beach every morning and evening, enjoying the stunning views. Unfortunately, there were limited Uber options available, and booking one often required waiting for at least 10 minutes or more.

We stayed on a beautiful, reasonably quiet, part of the coast. We had the beach right in front of us and everything you could need within walking distance or a quick drive or ride. The Gold Coast is what you make of it and we had a beautiful relaxed couple of days with great food from The Collective Palm Beach, nice coffee and lunch from House of Hubert, Tugun, amazing fresh Italian for lunch from Tommy's Italian, Currumbin and fantastic cookies and breaky from Custard Canteen, Tallebudgera. I would not choose Tugun Tavern for dinner again, food was overpriced and lacking in quality. Staff were friendly though.

We loved Broadbeach.
We loved Broadbeach. Our accommodation was perfect - close to the beach but quiet and just a 10 minute walk to the bustle of Broadbeach Central. A great atmosphere there with plenty of dining options and a large supermarket. We didn’t need a car as taxis were cheap. We found an amazing cafe called Banksy’s close to our apartment and went every day for breakfast. Lovely staff and great food and coffee. It was a dream holiday, just too short!
Everything. This is ultimate luxury. The lobby is luxurious, the staff are very professional, informative, well trained and helpful. The rooms are brand new. Beds are comfy, wifi fast, the views are insane. Bathroom is very clean, modern, all amenities provided. The infinity pool is amazing, feels like a beach club in bali overlooking the casino and broadbeach skyline. It is right next to the Star Casino and Pacific Fair mall. You can get the 777 bus directly from Coolangatta airport to the tram stop right outside the hotel.
Stayed in the sub penthouse on the 55th floor with awesome views of the ocean and surrounding Gold Coast. Great size apartment with open plan living. First time to the Q1 and will be going back for another stay. Don't know what the other apartments are like, but I can only judge the one I stayed at.
The staff were very helpful and friendly with a smile and great manners. Would definitely recommend the Q1 for a holiday stop over anytime. Mostly 5 star but the beds are a bit hard, but the rest was great.
We loved our stay here in an ocean view room. The apartments a huge - big rooms and lots of space for a family of 4. We love the location - it was right across from the beach, a short walk into the heart of Broadbeach or you could walk the opposite way and walk to Surfers along the boardwalk. There were some great coffee shops nearby and a food store. The bowls club across the road was fun for some barefoot bowling. We will definitely be back!
Location was good, about a 5 minute walk to the Florida Gardens tram stop (chose not to hire a car for the trip). Visited for the Gold Coast Marathon weekend so the spa bath in the room was handy after the marathon. Close to shared walking/e-bike/bike path junction near the Langham Hotel which made walking up to Surfers Paradise or down to Broadbeach easy. Property kept me informed with check-in and check-out information via text.
The room was spacious, well laid out. The bathroom/shower area looked graet with the black grout and white tile. the kitchen was compact and everything easily accessible. The provided instant coffee was a great (Moconna), as opposed to some other hotels that supply cheaper & alternatives which ultimately are undrinkable.
Location. Fantastic views of ocean. Proximity to beach, restaurants, supermarkets, public transport. Very helpful manager. Cheaper than most apartments beach side on the Gold Coast. A nice touch was the ability to store luggage and use the pool even after checking out. Very useful for guests with late flights.
A few minutes walk to The Gold Coast Convention Centre & Star Casino. Also a short walk to all the Broadbeach restaurants & cafes. 5 minute walk to beach.
Clean rooms, comfortable bed , well equipped kitchen & ocean view. Good car parking. Nice staff. Fast lift even though the hotel was very busy.
The apartment was as you see in the pictures - well kept and cosy for a family of 5. The view of the beachfront was also amazing. Steve was prompt in replies and very helpful. Location was also central to shops and restaurants. Stay here if you are visiting Gold Coast!
Really close to Gold Coast airport if you’re needing a cheap stay over! Big kitchen and all utensils you’d need, huge walk in fridge too. Very comfy lounge with Netflix on tv for chilling, nice pool (didn’t swim but looked nice) and comfy beds.
I reckon I’ve stayed here four or five times. It’s an older Gold Coast hotel but the rooms are well appointed, clean and modernized. All the famous superbank waves are right there for you and 500 of your closest friends to enjoy
Close to the beach
Accommodation modern and lots of space for family.
Close to all of gold coasts attractions and shops without being in the heart of surfers
Nice places to eat located close by
Furniture modern and on trend
this hotel is in a great location. we also booked very late (as another accommodation fell through) and this hotel was the cheapest that looked decent enough to stay in. the view, pool and spa were amazing.
Fantastic hotel all round & lovely staff. Onsite cafe is so cute & tasty. Room was amazing - spacious, modern & comfortable. Excellent parking. Close to beach & Broadbeach centre.
The best hotel we have stayed in and one of the cheapest. Great value for money and the breakfast buffet was even better than the expensive hotels such as the Novotel.
Beautiful ocean views, hotel is right on the main strip of Broadbeach where all the restaurants are and supermarket is a 5 minute walk. Awesome pool area!
