## The space At the back of a renovated distillery, our bright and sunny flat is a tranquil home away from home and a retreat from the hectic pace of London. The beautiful terrace overlooks the Grand Union canal and is the perfect spot to unwind and watch the walkers and boaters float by, with lights strung up making it cosy into the evening. We've lovingly renovated the flat to a beautiful standard. There's a modern fully equipped kitchen and open plan living/dining space with woodburning stove and handmade dining table. It's a lovely room to eat and socialise in. The living room is to the rear of the flat, with Apple and Sky TV, access to the terrace and views over the canal from two sets of double doors. Nestled below this is the bedroom, where a kingsize double bed with memory foam mattress awaits you, on which our cleaners place fresh, hotel-quality linen before your arrival. ## Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property during their stay. ## Guest interaction We will be contactable by email or telephone during your stay. ## Other things to note There are currently some building works happening on the other side of the canal opposite our flat, during weekdays only. While not too disruptive, you can see and hear the works when outside on the terrace although you can't really hear them too much when inside.

## The neighborhood Lovely Ladbroke Grove in West London has gone through a lot of changes over the years, from factory housing in the 1800s to a bohemian artist paradise in the 1960s. The British Underground scene grew up in neighbouring Notting Hill, and legendary rock star Jimmy Hendrix lived, wrote and died here. However, this is still the borough of Kensington and Chelsea, so it was only a matter of time before the wealthy families and media moguls moved in. Amidst the posh boutiques there are plenty of cool, creative places to check out. We're also on the boundary of ultra hip Kensal Rise with its fantastic shops and bars (Vogue recently voted the main street, Chamberlayne Road, the hippest street in Europe), and Queen's Park where there's a weekly farmers market and wonderful parks to stroll in. We're also a two-minute walk from the beautiful, world-famous Kensal Green cemetery with magnificent tombs and catacombs to explore. A 20-minute stroll along the banks of the Grand Union canal brings you to Little Venice and Paddington, where you can catch a canal boat all the way to Camden. ## Getting around The flat is by a main road with good bus connections from the number 18 that goes straight to Euston via Paddington, Baker Street and Warren Street. There are also a handful of tube and overground stations within easy walking distance: Ladbroke Grove for Circle and Hammersmith & City: 10 minutes Kensal Green for London Overground: 7 minutes Kensal Rise for Bakerloo and London Overground: 10-12 minutes Queen's Park for Bakerloo and London Overground: 10 minutes Westbourne Park for Circle and Hammersmith & City: 15 minutes with a lovely walk along the canal.
