This was a super venue with on site parking and a restaurant. All the staff were very friendly too.
Our room was clean and very comfortable with the usual tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was huge which was also a bonus.
The breakfast was good and it was nice to pick your choices for a cooked breakfast as this ensured no waste. Didn't use the restaurant for an evening meal but if their breakfasts are anything to go by then I'm sure the food would be lovely

Shanklin and Sandown are beautiful beaches but both towns are dying. Shops empty etc. Parking expensive and a nightmare to find which took a lot of the enjoyment out of the trip. Parking charged 24 hours 7 days a week.

The hotel is located in old Shanklin which is delightful.
The hotel is located in old Shanklin which is delightful. The main part of Shanklin is run down and not appealing. Despite this it has an excellent beach and would be a good place for a beach holiday with the right weather.

The beachfront and beach were lovely, accessible from the clifftop area via a lift suitable for everyone. Lots of places to sit and eat and drink. The far end of the beach past the Fisherman's cottage pub was dog friendly with a wide flat sandy area. Shanklin chine was lovely to walk through and explore as was the old village full of charming old shops and buildings. Shanklin town centre was within a short walk with a mix of shops some areas did look a little tired but we found virtually all places were dog friendly. The station was only a short walk from our hotel with a regular reliable service to Ryde. Using the Trainline app enabled us to get flexible day returns at reduced costs and we could hop on and off along the journey. Overall a very pleasant and well positioned place to stay, the hotel and staff were wonderful very welcoming and accommodating who made as much fuss of our dog as us.

Shanklin is a quaint place. Nice beach and quite long.
Shanklin is a quaint place. Nice beach and quite long. Shops could probably do with an upgrade but had a nice couple of pubs and excellent Italian restaurant, plus Indian and Chinese. High Street has a few coffee shops but also some empty shops like most places these days. You can get a lift down to the beach area or walk but it has quite a hill on the way up. Good walk to Sandown along the promenade. Local roads need a bit of work done to them but main roads ok. Lovely countryside and views of the sea. Couple of nice pub/restaurants in the Esplanade worth visiting.
1. My room was clean with an ample supply of towels.
2. Due to Covid-19 restrictions no cleaning staff entered my room so I had complete privacy.
3. There was a moderate supply of toiletries save for the complete lack of conditioner.
4. My usual breakfast waiter was very affable and added a nice touch to my soft-boiled eggs and soldiers.
5. A swimming pool was available (but it was too cold to use).
6. Getting into Shanklin Old Village took 8 minutes on foot.
7. The No.3 bus ran very regularly.
8. I didn't get Covid-19 on my holiday!!
John and Hayley were wonderful hosts and accommodated us with a take away breakfast as we were leaving early in the morning. The room was immaculately clean and nicely decorated, with everything that we needed during our two night stay. They can also help with ferry travel, offering a discount on the price. There is parking at the train station near by, and John gave us a free parking voucher valid for our stay. Shanklin is a lovely little town with the chine and old village within 15 minutes walking distance.
The views at the Brunswick are lovely, we enjoyed the 2 for 1 cocktails in the stylish lounge area overlooking the water (if it was warmer weather the garden would have been the perfect spot to enjoy the vista). The food is great, very tasty breakfast menu (particularly the scrambled eggs!) and the one dinner we ate was delicious. Staff are professional and friendly. Free parking is handy. The hotel is in a fab location, close to the beach, restaurants etc.
An extremely comfortable bed and breakfast house set in an amazing garden with lots of seating areas to enjoy the flowers and the sun. Several small lounges in addition to the breakfast room. Comfortable, clean bedrooms, Excellent choice of breakfast items which were cooked to order. Friendly and efficient hosts and staff. Located in Shanklin Old Village so very easy to access the beach and coastal path, pubs, cafes, shops and the regular bus services.
Fabulous stay, really recommend 😊
Small Friendly Hotel, run by a wonderful couple. Rooms are very comfortable and very clean. Excellent Breakfast. Has a lovely lounge area with a small bar over looking the beautiful front garden and Sea Views. At the rear of the hotel is a fabulous pool area. Plenty of car parking facilities. Nice walk down to the beach front. We loved the old village of Shanklin, with some excellent restaurants - 5 minute walk.
Very friendly and nice staff. We had some problem in the online booking system but the staff very kindly and patiently guided us through it. The place was clean and quiet. The included breakfast was good to start the day. It was also close to the beach and near one of the bus stops, so we had no problem getting where we wanted to go from the hotel by bus. I would highly recommend this place to other travelers.
From the moment we arrived Richard and his family were very welcoming. Excellent location, less than 5 mins walk down to Shanklin seafront. Apparently was clean and very welcoming. Comfy sofa too :-) Everything you need for a short break including some nice little touches. The only disappointment was that we didn't get to use the brand new weber bbq on the patio! Thanks for having us
Great B&B very clean, very classy, Breakfast was continental but something different every day. John the host was polite, inobtrusive and friendly. Good car parking facility too. would thoroughly recommend. Easily the best in Shanklin, very close to all the amenities, bars, pubs and restaurants.
Great location in Shanklin on Keats Green. Walking distance to Shanklin Chime, old village and the beach. Breakfast is excellent and the hotel was clean. Lovely garden to sit and have a gin and tonic. Staff were really helpful and booked our ferry for us. Would stay again if visited IOW again.
The location was very convenient, facing the sea, 4 minutes walk to shanklin old village or two minutes walk to the beach. Can’t expect more. The room is super nice, clean and comfy. All of us including my daughter loves it a lot! It is an ideal place for a family holiday!
The hotel is in an excellent position in the old village with only a few minutes walk to the sea front. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble - and a very good breakfast is served. The gardens are beautifully kept and very peaceful.
Location, Staff, hotel very clean and beautiful gardens. Having the availability of early evening hot snacks was a really good idea and reasonably priced. Parking available onsite which was brilliant. Great breakfast on offer
Lovely space! Enjoyed the balcony and super comfy beds. Well supplied kitchen and a great location just a short walk from the beach and Shanklin Old Village. Great communication with Adam.
