Rye is just beautiful.
Rye is just beautiful. There is so much history and so many places to wander around. Lots of coffee shops/restaurants/Hotels and Air B&B’s to cater for everyone’s budget. Fabulous little shops and so varied. The Church is amazing and for those brave enough you can climb to the viewing point on the roof. The Mermaid Inn is steeped in smuggling history as well as royal connections. We stayed at the Standard Inn in the Mint, highly recommend. Fabulously clean with friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent food and breakfasts. If you intend staying in Rye, make sure you have comfortable footwear as there are so many cobbled streets.Guest review bydavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely seaside town. Not too busy with tourists and train service to larger seaside resorts running throughout the day. Lovely places to grab a coffee or food. Really enjoyed dinner in Bentley's Steakhouse and the Picnic Basket does really good affordable breakfasts. Lots of other eateries along the sea front and lovely views from De Warr Pavilion if you fancy stopping there for a coffee.Guest review byHelenIreland - 8.0
Friendly people, smiling faces.
Friendly people, smiling faces. Very historic and amazing views from the Castle especially. 9 pubs within a 3 minute walk, all serving food. A plethora of restaurants, my favourite being Rustico which sells delicious Pastas and Pizzas. Fantastic bus services to and from surrounding towns and villages, stretching from Eastbourne to Brighton. Good train services and fast ones to London.Guest review byTim StephensSpain - 10.0

The food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was excellent. The carpet in the hallways needs replacing especially outside our room which was on the ground floor. Room was a good size and clean but they do need a bit of updating although please dont replace the beds as they are really comfy. We’ve stayed here numerous times and look forward to our next visit. Staff are very friendly so thank you.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The trip to St Leonards with friends worked out perfectly. The apartment was exactly as described with easy access and much larger than expected. With a short walk down to the beach and a walk along the promenade into town all facilities were close by and accessible without needing a car. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would definitely visit again.Guest review byDebraUnited Kingdom
