we had stayed at the hotel previously and enjoyed it so decided to return to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The only grips was that the window view I paid for was limited and to make the most of it we need to move furniture and the window wouldn’t stay open. It was a very hot day but much cooler night and if we could’ve opened the window we would’ve had a much better night sleep. We were provided with a fan in the room that was far too noisy and made a little difference to the ambient temperature. Small but significant observations.Guest review byMiles - 8.0

Farnham is nice and connected to Chawton House nearby, which is a great place to visit. The Revd Henry Austen brother of Jane was effectively the vicar of Farnham from 1822-1827. It has a fine castle and museum and Castle Street is lovely. Downing Street is about to be pedestrinised. St Andrews and its close is charming.Guest review byAlisonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Room wasn't very clean, lots of cobwebs and the carpets are really dirty. But friendly staff that go above and beyond. Lots of places to eat and there is a lovely river and playground for the children No hot chocolate or biscuits in the room for the children. No veggie options for breakfast, you have to ask for veggie sausages and they take a whileGuest review bySabrinaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

East Horsley is a beautiful place.
East Horsley is a beautiful place. Its not far to go in to the town Guildford if you want to do any shopping. We went to Adam Aaronson's Glass Blowing Studio in West Horsley which is only down the road approx 2 mile and had a class there. You can make different pieces from a tumbler to a scent bottle. There is larger pieces but obviously goes up in price for the class. Really good if you want something different to do. There is also a Garden Centre next door to this. There is a lovely little pub just down the road from the Thatchers Hotel if you wanted to try a different menu. We had an evening meal in there and it was very nice. Need a car though if you want to go in to town or a taxi.Guest review byANNUnited Kingdom
