Positive section of review
Staff at this guest house are friendly and accommodating. I found the bed very comfortable with soft sheets and a good firm mattress. Breakfast is not available, but there is a kettle in the room and plenty of breakfast options nearby. (A few sachets of decaf coffee and/or herbal tea would be really helpful for those of us who avoid caffeine). The location is very good, it is in walking distance of the centre and there is free parking on site.

Mostly guests are respectfully quiet but the walls are very thin and on can hear occupants in the surrounding rooms. There was also a bit of a drain smell in the bathroom.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is located in a very convenient location, which is why we chose it as our flight was leaving very early in the morning. It had everything we needed for an overnight stay on the airport.

We needed to eat in the evening, and the menu offered was disappointing. The burgers were in fact inedible, and my husband should have sent them back but he just left them half eaten on the plate. Not a good experience.

The room was adequate but a bit tired. The carpets on the stairways were filthy. Evening meals were good and well cooked. Cooked breakfast was inedible and after the first breakfast, we only had cornflakes and fruit.

Staff not very helpful at check-in. Booking was not yet in their system, although I had confirmation from Booking.com, so had to wait. Room was not very soundproof- noise from corridor and neighbouring room. Soulless corridors. Busy buffet breakfast - good selection but disappointing quality.

The single beds are so small you cannot turn over on the bed without nearly falling off the bed. You literally have to elevate yourself turn and layback down. I also had to cut short my stay by two nights due to a family emergency. There was no chance of any type of reimbursement or two credit days at a later date. They were very unsympathetic to my problem. Very unreasonable staff on the front desk.
