An absolutely stunning dog friendly hotel. Everything was perfect. We didn't know if we were going to make it due to having car problems on the mainland. But after a stressful journey we were given a room upgrade. The view over the bay was beautiful. We had dinner in the hotel and it was lovely and a great selection for breakfast (good veggie options!)

The room was lovely and a added bonus that it was down on the ground level. The owners couldn't have been any more helpful if they tried. The breakfast was divine. Great location so close to town, will definitely be coming back!

No toilet paper or toiletries in room and staff very unapologetic. Breakfast was terrible. I got admonished for the way I was using the toaster by staff. My breakfast was swimming in milk and I was told that's how scrambled egg was supposed to be. Made it all inedible. I have pictures if the establishment want them. The same member of staff then did not offer to replace it. Told reception when I left and it was basically a shrug of the shoulders. A shame, because it is a stunning venue.

Bedroom had a bad musty smell - it had not been aired properly. The curtains didn't close properly therefore letting in morning light too early. The bed was the worst I had ever slept on. The mattress had springs that stuck into your back and legs. Old , very soft and poor quality. I did not sleep all night. I felt that this room was not used very often. Another issue was that on arrival the manager said - as you have booked with booking.com we are unable to change your room. You have the room they have allocated and we can't change it for you. I found this odd, that, in spite of the room being of poor quality , they didn't relocate us?.It felt like he was already making excuses for the room. On arrival also he asked for the outstanding balance payment in cash. I have no problem with this , just was expecting this - was this so we couldn't make a claim back? Also only breakfast staff in the mornings therefore no one to speak to.

There isn't a single shelf in the bathrooms where one could put any stuff or things or shower gel or towel or clothes. There is no shelf in the shower either, and there's nowhere to put the shower gel, only on the floor. It would be very necessary to have shelves in these bathrooms so that one wouldn't have to put their things and clothes on the toilet lid or the floor….
