Returning many times as a lover of this delightful country house hotel in charming and convenient surroundings. Great access into York City Centre, but once within the hotel grounds you could be deep in the country. Everything meets expectations with reasonable prices that are clearly flexible and influenced by occupation rates.

The hotel was easy to find on what I take to be the main street, the car park was also easy to find. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. My room was comfortable with all the facilities I had been led to expect. The shower gel had a lovely smell.

We had a gorgeous stay in the Scotsman! The rooms are very clean and super comfortable. We even upgraded to city view and had an amazing surprise of a tower in our room!! We even did a movie in the theatre on the bottom floor and that was lovely.

The wait in the cafe for food or service was sometimes slow and waiting on a lift to your room can take ages sometimes but it’s an old building so that can be a given!

location is great. apartment is cozzy and enough for a short trip. As a family of 4 we had a comfy stay. Kids shared the sofa bed in the living area and we had our own room which was needed for us for some privacy.

ıt can be cleaner. This was our second stay in this apartment and I brought my own pillow covers and towels. There was a little mold problem in the bathroom. Kitchen supplies need some renovation.
