Very clever trick ! Car park is 11-11 ! So if you go to check out at 10:45 and queue and then struggle with luggage at 11.01 you pay again . I have to say staff are miserable , foreign and obviously hate the job . Breakfast is poor service station standard . One dreadful coffee machine and stupid toaster ! Sorry but it’s 3 star rubbish ! Painting on our floor is smelly !

The location was very good with great eating options all around especially Rose Street. The lounge was comfortable. There was plenty of towels and the place was pretty clean.

When trying to log into the wifi the instructions were very poor, our apartment didn’t show up in the list of options so we took a punt password worked but strength was appalling kept dropping out so don’t know if it was shared amongst a few apartments. Under room details it is listed that the kitchen has a washing machine but there is no washing machine in the kitchen, on ringing the telephone number for guest services we were told there is a laundry in the basement we were welcome to use. The laundry was up and down flights of stairs and no instructions for how to use, we figured the washing machine out but was not able to get the dryer hot. I booked this apartment as we had a couple of loads of washing to do we were not happy. On arrival we were given an external door code and our room code, we were told that when the building didn’t have a staff member on site the external door would be locked for security purposes which was good as there are a few bars around the area but our last night the external door was not locked you could just walk in.

Breakfast was awful! Ordered poached eggs on toast. It took ages to come and when it did the eggs were rock hard. Couldn't eat it.

Unfortunately the view was poor and extremely noisy at night you say the rooms are sound proofed but I'm sorry it's not good enough .We had no bath mat leaving the shower so slippery it was deadly! Also the bathroom door didn't close ,we had to hold it to with a bag .Bit disappointed with the overall stay .

Waited too long for evening meal. 1hr 10 min to receive fish and chips. Another evening 45 min for 1 soup and 1 pasta dish. Didn't eat there again.

Whole place needs a full renovation not been touched in 30 years. Walls and floors are a mess, plumbing is laughable. Could be a beautiful spot with a load of money invested. Very nice staff keep it going.
