Lovely double room, a ground floor room, which was great for me. Kettle provided with coffee, sugar & milk. even a packet of custard creams. We had parking right outside the house. it was a lovely walk into york City Centre through Parkland and along side of the river. It took us about 1/2 hour, but most people could walk it in 15/20 minutes. If walking is too far for you there is a bus stop just in the next road which cost us £2 each (we took the bus on our 2nd day) There was a small safe, small electric coolbox, hangers, and a toilet & shower . Towels were provided.

very spacious, the kids loved the hot tub, it was very near to the wedding venue which was so convenient, the only issue was the parking because we had 2 cars but luckily managed to park out St Giles

just the parking

Room was bright and airy, great decor. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choices and the waitress was very helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the linen and duvet were great.

The hall outside our room and along the corridor had lots of trays that were there when we arrived at the hotel and were still there when we went to bed several hours later. The hairdryer was entirely too heavy.

Didn’t have breakfast. Location good, being close to the train and underground station. Access is easy. Staff very friendly.

Good luck to anyone shorter than 5ft 6 inches if you’re using the loo in the room. The toilet is set ridiculously high, so that legs (mine are long!) we’re left dangling nowhere near the floor. I had to stretch to balance on my tiptoes. The most uncomfortable toilet I’ve ever had in any room. The room also was teeny, with hardly any storage space. Probably ok for one night, but we stayed three. Won’t make that mistake again. Also, the room was very dark, looking up at a block of windows opposite, and somewhere in the far distance up there was the sky. Sorry, don’t think I’ll be back. 🙁

Cramped room, Squeeky floorboards, shabby decor in the room which was outdated and only basic facilities.

Housekeeping was inconsistent sometimes the bed was not made properly and the coffee table was not wiped down . For the class of hotel I don't feel that is acceptable
