Kimberley - the restaurant manager was terrible. She would not allow me to take the table I had requested, and made me sit in a dark corner at the back of the restaurant on a sunny evening. I was dining alone which made it worse. I was there trom 18:00-20:00 and the restaurant was st 30% capacity- there were plenty of other tables for me to sit at. She refused. Not at all in line with a 5 star global brand's hospitality level. All other staff and the food were excellent. The pool is very small and they have lots of locals using the facilities at the weekend plus screaming children and babies due to lessons. Not great for a quiet retreat weekend.

Beautiful spacious rooms. Old world English charm. Fantastic location, really central. We had a street view room which overlooked thirsk and the area. It was beautifully light and airy. My partner said the breakfast was lovely too.

I couldn’t find anywhere that listed the wifi password and it’s a very early checkout without an option to pay for a later checkout.

The room and facilities were well-kept. The staff were exceedingly helpful! I liked the shared utility room with fridge, microwave, ironing board, etc. The location was excellent - very much in the thick of things!

We really loved this property super clean, great glamping pod experience. Perfect for a family of 4. The en-suite is a great idea.

We loved the location and the uniqueness of the pod. We also liked how tidy and clean the caravan park was and the space each plot of camping and static caravans have. Everyone seems really friendly.

Batteries were practically dead in the remote for tv, so could not switch channel’s properly , air con wouldn’t adjust and was clanking intermittently during the night but wasn’t a big problem
