Pros: - location (we were able to explore the city and try different things everyday with ease) - short walk to the bus stop that takes you to Chester Zoo directly - right next to the tourist information centre - convenient food and drink option downstairs. Super friendly. - spacious room with lots of natural light - storage - vanity - comfy bed - coffee table - kettle, tea and coffee provided - didn't use the fridge, safe and iron set but they all looked helpful - you don't hear the pub
Negative section of review
Cons: - the shower was clogged - marks on pillow sheets (seemed not used so we suspected they're just stained) - the included shower gel and conditioner were okay but the shampoo felt unpleasant - the shower head could use a deep clean - the food is hit or miss. The traditional pub grub was fantastic. - the door isn't soundproof so it can be difficult to sleep when other guests are being noisy in the hall.

Friendly, hard working staff. Good breakfasts. We had evening meals at Ravenstone Lodge and Ravenstone Manor. Meals were excellent. We prefer the no pets policy of the lodge, pets seem very welcome over the road. Plenty of hot water and good shower. Fresh milk on request for the room, good supply of tea, coffee, hot choc and Borders biscuits. Really lovely little hotel with great views from the terrace and breakfast/dining room

The driveway takes a bit of getting used to. We drove by and approached from the other direction a couple of times.

Lovely location, right on the river bank. It is very romantic and historical. Interesting nooks and crannies to explore. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, plenty of choice and freshly cooked to order. The bed was very comfortable. We will stay again.

We are both very tall so we had to look out for the beams, but that is part of the charm of the building.

Property was lovely and clean with extra milk yogurt and bread fruit and jam with tea and coffee in room. So quiet even though 5 mins drive from silver parking.

We were extremely lucky to have the whole property to ourselves.

It was easy to find, good parking and in the centre of ringwood so easy to access restaurants etc. The rooms were clean and comfy and breakfast was delicious.

The greeting! On arrival we had to register our car and were told to wait while the lady served three customers at the bar. She eventually took us round the corner and pulled out the screen to register the car. There were two additional staff members sitting by the screen who could have served us had she told us to walk around there.

Super location and comfortable.

Parking for staff and disabled only. The latter completely understandable. The former not so much when the car park was empty over night!
