As this my favourite hotel here in London, I really enjoyed my one night stay. At reception I was served once again with great customer service with a smile. They were able to upgrade my room to a double which I really appreciated as I slept very well. I had breakfast the following morning. Which is always delicious and plenty to choose from. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants quality service and a lovely hotel to stay in. I look forward to staying again soon.

Great location, beautifully restored with great taste in furnishings. Excellent friendly, helpful staff. Rachel has a real customer focused approach, as did all the staff. A very engaged owner, which is good to see. The food was really very good and we enjoyed two dinners in the brassiere. Quiet lounge area with views of the bridge and the sun setting. A great place to stay en route from south to north.

The Cottage was clean modern and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be booking again.

Liked the history of the building-as a nurse myself the building was an old nurse's home-did not know this prior to stay. Great central location for booked activities.
Negative section of review
staff out of hours couldn't resolve refund issue during stay, despite bar staff's error to charge double for unwanted drink that was not ordered. This is poor customer service if staff are not trained to deal with simple services. No manager on duty out of hours means guests are left with incompetent staff providing poor experience.

Welcoming, clean and pleasant aroma in reception upon arrival. Food was incredible.

The swimming pool was very small and the ceiling had black mold. The steam room smelt musty.

The room was clean and stylish. The full buffet breakfast was amazing and free.

The room was too small for 3 adults (double + sofa). The sofa was quite uncomfortable. Reception requested my passport details which I wasn't happy to give. Too far from Cambridge.

A fascinating place, lots of history, great staff and food.

Excellent food. Comfortable beds. Comfy bar.

The stairs to our attic room were steep with a low ceiling. The beams were very low in our room causing us to bend low and mind our heads. We are both over 70!
