Special and unique old cottage with the comfort of a very modern bath and bed. The host, Ben was very caring and dog-friendly. Very private as there are only two guest bedrooms and the building is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a park on the opposite side of the road. Still close enough to London. It took us around 50min (~10min walk, ~40min over- and underground). Also permits for parking the car were provided without additional fees and there was always a good spot available.

Amazing in every way! Really friendly hosts, clean (and trendy!) room and furnishings, the comtinental breakfast was great with a lot of choice. Couldn't have been better!

No Lift for carrying suitcases etc, and I believe its been broken for several weeks, Not Good Customer comfort or Service.

Parking was pot luck and you will need an app like Ringo to pay for your car. There are a few (literally) spaces provided but don't expect to get one. The cocktail bar closed earlier than advertised because "nobody was using it" and they wouldn't open it even for a large party of guests. We had to pull seats together in a lounge with some guests sitting on the floor and order "room service" to get a drink. This was just after midnight on a Saturday. Not ideal and the staff seemed to not care. The reception staff were generally not helpful and seemed to be unwilling to inconvenience themselves. Could have done much better.

Filthy the ceiling light was broken and also full of damp,especially above the shower. The curtains where falling off. Hole in the bathroom door. There was no signal in the room I had to stand on the draws with my phone in the air to just send a text message. Random nails sticking out the walls where pictures have been toon down. I know the place was cheap and booked last minute as we had no way of getting home, but you would expect it to be clean at the very least.
