  Nice location right in artisian quarter. We have been 5 people and it was a bit tight, but absolutely enough. Enjoyed walking through the park to city center. Comfy beds and quiet.

  The surrounding area is nice and the hotel looks good, a former stately home.

  The standard of the de vere hotel we have used over the years, imo, has deteriorated. We asked for a quiet room, apparently we got one, but it was surrounded by guests who seemed to know each other for two nights. A dog woke us up at 1.30am barking; they were opposite us! The breakfast was served well by the staff but the food was just average fry up with very little fresh food choice. Overall, got home and wanted another quiet break.

  The bathrooms were very dated and I had to change rooms due to the shower only giving me a dribble. 2nd room was a little butter but not good. Only continental breakfast available. TV’s get almost no channels due to lack of signal.

  I didn't realise it was part of a popular student bar so noisier than I expected. The hotel is not very clean, with hair all over the bed and bathroom. The continental breakfast, which is served in the sticky student bar, isn't worth the consideration. The wifi was down for a day and not heating. They said it was on a central timer but, never came on and instead gave us a small portable heater.
