Positive section of review
A very comfortable and clean hotel, just 10/15 minutes from the cathedral and the city centre and with its own parking. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room (a premier double) was spacious and bright with a large bay window. The breakfast was good with a vegetarian option, served in a comfortable dining room. The hotel has no lunchtime or evening catering, but there are many food pubs and restaurants in the city centre. It does, though, have a well stocked bar open until midnight.

The hot water control on our mixer tap in the bathroom shower was seized and the water was scalding hot. This was very serious safety issue which we reported to reception in the morning. We were assured that the housekeeping staff would put it right. However, returning to the hotel at the end of the day we found that no repair had been undertaken to the hot water tap, so our shower was a safety hazard and unusable.

Great location. Gorgeous grounds. We sat outside in the morning with our own breakfast hamper we'd brought with us. Peace, quiet, nature, wonderful views over the fields with animals in them. A very comfy bed. Great Country pub within walking distance. Easy to check in and out.

Just a few 'attention to detail' type things which would have made it a more comfortable stay, - A good thick pair of blackout&thermal curtains would have been great. We had a very thin pair, but in four pieces for some reason, which didn't close well, let in all the light and there was a patio light right outside the window. (bring an eye mask!) - There weren't any on-site or continental breakfast options available - the online and in-room information could be updated. - The mini fridge was really helpful, but I think it needs replacing as it half-froze most of the chilled food we brought, and there was a lot of water inside it and on our food packets for some reason. - We weren't sure if tea, coffee and milk supplies were meant to be topped up daily, but to provide a few more milks, etc, would have been perfect. - The walls are very thin and unfortunately you can hear a lot of things you don't necessarily want to hear coming from the neighbouring chalet! Eek! (bring ear plugs!).

I have stayed in this place few times .. Only thing I really like is the location .its walking distance to pure gym .thats important to me . Everything is working inside ...nothing fancy But that doesn't bother me .

Few days after I checked out ..this landlord asked me for £35 damage fee ....because I stolen a fire alarm. This is the most ridiculous thing that I ever heard... A fire alarm not worth anything ....in fact nothing is worth anything from the flat . I did explain to the landlord I didn't do it . But clearly this landlord didnt believe me ...I told the landlord to report this yo the police so they can do the investigation. I using booking.com almost every week ..never had anyone reported me of steal anything from any place ... So for anyone want to stay in that place ...Best record the whole place before you check out .this can be a evidence if anything goes wrong .

Room exceeded our expectations. It was spacious and had all the required amenities. 24hr room service which we definitely used at 2am after a concert. Staff were brilliant and courteous.

There was 2 of us staying, they provided only 1 loofah and 1 toothbrush pack. Shower head was outdated and water pressure was a little harsh. Also there was a welcome card addressed to someone else.
