Its absolutely stunning inside and out, grounds are well maintained. Rooms are modern, beautiful, clean! Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. We got 4 drinks vouchers in total in my sisters’ bedroom to celebrate their 18th birthdays, decorations for a small extra fee. The drinks vouchers were complimentary and such a kind gesture!! Highly recommended for birthday celebrations.

Super location for visiting University College London, and for being centrally located in a lively neighborhood with lots of sites, restaurants, and easy connection to buses and the Russell Square tube station for getting a bit further into London.

Great location and fine 3-star hotel. Not many amenities but the breakfast was fantastic! Rooms are standard size for the area and kept tidy. Iron in the room was great as was having the fan in the cupboard for when it was warm.
Negative section of review
Hotel lift is broken so you must walk stairs to your room. Not a huge inconvenience but might be for some, especially if on the upper floors. It's a shame the hotel did not share this before accpeting booking. Rooms were quire warm with no thermostat to change temperature. Windows open minimally but would have been too warm without the fan in the wardrobe.

Everything was perfect

The location was nice, being out on a golf course but the view from the room wasn't great and everything within the hotel was dated and needed to be revamped.
Negative section of review
The restaurant was the golf members bar, the staff were rude and very uninterested in what they were doing and very unhelpful. The food wasn't great either, bar staff seamed a little slow and untrained but it wasn't great. The rooms were dated and the decor of the hotel all needed modernising.

Location was very central and the breakfast was good. Room would have been nice and good value if it wasn't suffering badly from damp and mould.
Negative section of review
The room was mouldy - very obviously so, as it smelt of mildew and mould as soon as you entered. This will have been apparent to the staff and cleaners, however the staff claimed that they were not aware/thought it had been solved. There were unfortunately no alternative rooms of the type I had paid for available. It was fine for one night, but would have been very problematic if I had had breathing problems, and it is pretty unacceptable that they are taking bookings for that room whilst it is clearly suffering quite badly from damp and mould.

Stunning location/ our superior room had sea view. Outdoor pool was spotless and perfect temperature. Bathroom was excellent.
Negative section of review
Service at breakfast first day was very flaky- we had to call someone over as they did not come to take order. Coffee was really awful (we were offered a pot) so we had to re order individual cups. Hotel wines were hugely expensive- there always should be a reasonably priced “house” wine available. Bed was a big but a bit soft for our taste.
