- “The modern retro look in room and the amazingly decorated corridors made this place my favorite hotel. I had the luck of getting an airside room and could see nighttime operations on the runways. Certainly a place an AVgeek would love. The small touches like postcards in room and great amenities like shaving razor and cream were much appreciated. The "secret" rooftop terrace where you could sit and watch operations at the airport 24/7 was wonderful. Staff were all lovely - one manager was even greeting people outside and leading them in to the lobby.”

Stephane can give you for very cheap price. The old town, the Big Buddha and many beaches you can ride in 20 minutes. I will go back to Stephane for sure. The best is you can see the sea from your bed. The morning is beautiful. The best place for breakfast is only 50 meters from the house. Many good restaurants are 5 minutes by walk.”

  I liked the location. It had good views of whitby, and being up west bank, it was also close to the pavilion and the goth markets, also close to bus stop to catch the tour bus round and down to the Abbey and whitby central. The price was acceptable for the goth weekend and I was shocked I got a room at last minute.

  There was no staff to ask for extra coffees or loo rolls. I could have done with a room check. The heating I had to phone twice to ask for the heating to be put on as it was below the temperature they say it is, and I was very cold. The door locks are OK, but we could do with a card with it written on just in case our phones run out of battery when out.

  Comfortable and large spacious living area. Quiet location, host responded quickly to requests when we were there. Breakfast, which is an extra cost, with good quality ingredients. Plenty of towels and a flannel each. The small kitchen area was better equiped that we were expecting.

  The place was cold when we arrived and did not warm up properly until the heating had been on for quite a while in the evening. We lit the woodburner but it did not burn well and gave out almost no heat. No instructions for anything; eg we could not work the TV or the vents on the woodburner.

  Nice restaurant in the premises and good car park facilities. staff were very good and the place was clean and tidy, meeting my needs. provisions were left in the room.

  It would have been nice to have a bar to drink around, but not a real issue. Creaky floors in the corridor need to be addressed. would have been good to have an option of a hot breakfast or being told in advance - but it was nice.

  Honesty goes a long way, the room was indeed the furthest away from the boiler room but when the boiler doesn't come on until after 5 pm it's I'm possible to get hot water if you were directly next to the boiler room, It's understandable for that to be the case and I would have no qualms at all.

  Not over keen on the breakfast . I don’t like the way the mushrooms are prepared too soggy. Same with tons. Eggs look unappetising and scrambled egg shouldn’t be left in those dishes to go rubbery .
