The hotel was in a great location, really close to shops and the utilita arena. The room was clean and we had breakfast in the connected restaurant which was really convenient. The hotel also has a secure car park which was really useful.

Unfortunately we could hardly sleep due to the heat of the room. We had the air con on all night and a window open and the room was still uncomfortably hot considering it wasn’t even a hot day outside. Some parts of the hotel look quite tired.

Friendly helpful staff. Great location. Bus outside hotel on main road to Edinburgh. Train 30 minutes walk for Glasgow. Food was good. Garden & grounds excellent. Good size room. Good shower but bathroom was a bit small but usable.

4 poster bed was a bit narrow even for people of normal dimensions. We stayed in the tower. Location is quiet from outside noise however we could hear noise from people in adjacent rooms but this tended to stop from 11pm once they had gone to sleep. Would not stop us from staying again though.

The rooms were absolutely full of dust and the sheets were stained. The only thing they called cleaning was to vacuum the room and change the toilet paper.

We did not appreciate how we were treated by the hotel staff. Traveling with a toddler made us looking for a good hotel with bigger rooms where you can place a cod and still can walk around. Unfortunately we got the smaller room, and saw there are bigger ones even in our price category but the staff was very reluctant in helping us, making excuses of hotel being fully booked and handing over responsibility to look into it and help us us back and forth among themselves. Truly a disappointment for a four star hotel.
