The two girls in the breakfast room were the best thing about our stay ...lovely girls and v chatty and hospitable. They actually made our stay, particularly Becca . Make sure you retaun her as she redeemed our experience after disappointing room.. Breakfast nice.

Nobody around when we arrived at 6pm. Rude and short message through intercom, with welcome letter left on door sayingg any problems will be dealt with in morning. Room was baking hot at the top of 4 flights of stairs , no lift. Aircon broken, radiator broken . Cold water , no hot water the evening we arrived from shower or bath. Bath did not drain properly. Hot water next morning. Toast was cheap sliced , not sourdough as advertised ( minor complaint). Carpets tired a d worn. Dusty tops of wardrobes as you come down the stairs. Not hugely clean. V disappointing and not 5 star, more 3 at a push. Paid £169 for 1 night for 2 Inc breakfast. Will not stay again.

The room - clean, nicely decorated and spacious. Bathrobes, slippers, coffee, biscuits and water. Nice toiletries. Very big comfy bed.

Both customer lifts were broken all weekend so big queues for the service lifts. We used the stairs as we were only on the 3rd floor but the rest of our party were on the 7th floor which was a problem. We didn't like our bathroom - the wetroom style shower soaked the bathroom floor. There was nowhere to put sponge bags, no hooks for clothes or anywhere to hang the bathmat. No lid on the w.c. and bizzarley a large and a small basin. We were asked to leave the bar at around 12.30am as it was closing. Early for a Brighton Saturday night.

it would have been nice for the fruit juice and cereals to be out to help yourself at breakfast as it wasn't clear that you had the option to have them as well as the cooked breakfast.
