Character cottage directly behind The Three Tuns brewery! You walk through the pub beer garden to access the cottage - despite the proximity of the brewery and pub there was no noise problem at all. The cottage has the bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor and living room/ kitchen on the first floor. The staircase is quite steep and could prove an issue if you are not mobile or steady on your feet- it was fine for us. The cottage is located in the centre of Bishop's Castle close to all facilities. Parking is unrestricted on street and we never had a problem finding a space. The cottage has everything you need for a self catering holiday.

Downstairs bedroom is quite cool- again for us that was preferable to it being too hot.

This was the perfect stay for our highlands trip!! The host who we met as we were leaving was so kind and gracious— the almond croissants and wine just put this place over the top! The place is also in the perfect location— 10 minutes from the ferry to isle of Skye and in a town with a couple restaurants.

The only good thing about the hotel is the outside building .and the location . The inside is very dated and old —- really needs loads of love and care . The good thing about this hotel was the views and private beach - nice walk into town ( very closed)

In the inside is very disappointing, don’t mind old furniture but looks like it was bought from a charity shop and dumped in room without any care or mind to make it nicer .

The host was fab and had catered for specific guests needs. Neighbours were friendly and helpful. The small touches added to the character of the cottage.

Security was a bit of a concern for me as there was no latch and the bolt did not work on the front door. So reliant only on the key lock. Area felt very safe though.

I had a comfortable stay here and would stay again if working that way. Breakfast was good and I also had an evening meal there which was good too.

The bed was a bit lumpy and the room could do with some net curtains or blinds as the shops across the street can see right into the room. Also a desk with a chair would have been good so I could have worked comfortably. This would probably be useful for ladies wanting to do their hair and makeup I guess? Small points to address but I would have given top marks if these had been there.
