The staff on immediate entry were welcoming. The food was well presented and keenly priced to accommodate families. Two staff were particularly noted Sofia waitressing and James from activities crew, archery well presented. He worked hard to engage the youngsters Isla and Zara.

The room was disappointing as I had upgraded on booking.com from double to king size but seemed to downgrade from walk in shower to climb over the bath shower. Bearing in mind we are in our 60’s . It was a family room two extra beds unnecessary. So booking.com Be aware we can’t see what type of room we are upgrading to. There were no toiletries in the room had to ask in reception. Room 213 has a a lovely view yes can see loch but also gas tank. You have boarded up to this point but not covered it. The bottles of water in the room were all sparkling bearing in mind the water is slightly coloured. Would be good if there was a mixture of still and sparkling water. And I hate sparkling water water. Need to watch out for midges.

The accommodation was so clean and smelt so fresh. For a small space, it uses is amazingly well with everything you might need and more. The outdoor space can be used to cook and wash the ducks in the pond.

I like that it was close to everything. A positive aspect is that there were good cafeterias around. Another positive aspect is that we didn't need transport to move around.

The house was extremely dirty and it smelled awfully. The beds were really uncomfortable specially the sofa bed. The photos did not represent reality. The carpet was one of the dirtiest things I've ever seen in my life. The number of towels were not enough for 5 people and they smelled like used (for a very long time). Getting the keys was at escape room level, especially finding the apartment. The WiFi didn't work properly.

Superb breakfast, warm and friendly staff - a real personal touch. It is so much nicer staying somewhere you feel welcome than a corporate chain.

Although space is understandably limited, it was a struggle to work using a small area on a small table with a laptop.

Curtains in main bedroom are too short. So when you are asleep, if someone walks past, they can look in.
