Welcome was friendly. Entrance/library and bar was impressive. Breakfast was plentiful and delightful. Staff were lovely at breakfast. Room was spacious and comfy and clean

Pool was disgusting as was changing rooms. Dirty underwear in lockers and pool was cold and run down Dog poohed in corridor on level 1 was disgusting and put me off staying another night

Apartments need a deep clean and an update. I think the design and decor was copied from Dynasty in the 80's but they are cosy and comfortable. No lift. Gulp !

We stayed here for two nights for our anniversary trip and ended up paying quite a bit of money to stay in the better room. On the first night the boiler broke so we had no heating and no warm water throughout the night and all morning so sleeping in the room was really cold. This lead me to catch a cold over night which impacted what walks I could do in the area as I'm asthmatic. Upon calling the owner he explained what has happened and that they are trying to fix it but they couldn't get to the boiler overnight as it is located in a room where other guests are staying. In cases like this where your guests are freezing cold overnight, you should probably have access to the boiler at all times so naturally we weren't happy with this. After our disappointing trip away we contacted booking.com to receive some sort of compensation for one of the nights as the stay obviously didn't meet our exceptions but the owner doesn't have the decency to respond and authorise this so unfortunately we have lost money for a poor stay.

There are too many places advertised as available for the same day but who are unable to facilitate this The check in details arrived at 9.05am on my checking out day. The money has still been taken from my account. Neither the host or booking.com have disputed this despite them both knowing i did not stay. Booking.com left me on the street for the night.. I walked around most of the time and snoozed in a doorway for an hour.
