Lovely hotel in a perfect location. Loved the drinks station you could get hot and cold drinks from. Fridge in the room also a bonus. I would definitely recommend a deluxe king/twin for the extra space. We had lovely big windows and French doors with. Juliette balcony. Lovely light room.

Slight niggle was the lack of firm pillows. They tried their best to get me a firm one, but it was just a less soft feather one. I appreciated the effort though.

The midges! We were not prepared for them and unfortunately because of that we were not able to open the windows and so it was getting hot and stuffy even with the fans. The wifi was too slow and we couldn’t down load any pics.

The breakfast was continental. Not aware of this until booking confirmed. Very limited selection of choice, no savoury option ( cheese/ ham/ egg), Only fruit, toast & jam. Disappointed with two pieces of sourdough toast for the price. Room very hot and noisy due to traffic & city noise. Barrels/ something heavy? being moved around after restaurant closing. Not aware of access of stairway to accomodation

Looks like the work done on the property was either DIY or shoddy work. So much so that the hot water pipe to the sink broke in the middle of the night whilst we were sleeping and flooded the bathroom and bedroom with very hot water. Getting hold of someone at that time was difficult and no spare rooms available do we ended trying to get to sleep in a sodden room with the windows open (on a busy road). We were offered no refunds just a discount for another stay which we have no intention of doing. Would not recommend this place.

I had a superior King size. It was in such a small room that it was a great disappointment. The sister’s room was much bigger. The TV was put at the side of the bed which was hard to watch.

I was occupying room six on my last night the residents in room four caused me lots of problems first of a person fell against my door shortly afterwards there was vomiting for at least 10 to 15 minutes then lots of noise then it went quiet until 630 in the morning. There was a knocking on my door a few seconds later another knock asking for a person that clearly wasn’t me and then they knocked on their door and 7 o’clock somebody started hovering far too early for housekeeping.
