The hotel is situated in the heart of Conwy, a perfect location and it has the enormous benefit of a carpark. The hotel was clean and full of character. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed.

If we had wanted an ultra-modern property we would be disappointed but we didn’t want “new” we wanted “character”. And it delivered. There was no cause to be disappointed, quite the opposite.

Location was great, a short walk to Kensington Park and The Royal Albert Hall, around 25 minutes away. Beds were comfy, bathroom small but clean. Staff polite and helpful.

Our room was in a building opposite the main hotel, in the basement. Extremely steep narrow stairs to get to it. Opened the curtains to scaffolding and a brick wall.

The room was very small - and we had paid extra for the superior room. The bathroom is not separated from the shower so the whole room is wet including the toilet if you have a shower. There is no room service but restaurants are in the terminal. No in room fridge either. It was quite expensive but I guess you have to pay that for the convenience of being in the terminal.

stayed for two nights and room was NOT cleaned on the first day - did not offer to come and clean it when I pointed this out on my return in the evening. wifi did not work in my room - only in reception (which had bubble wrap on the seating and I don't think they had just been delivered). as I was there for work I could hardly work in the reception area. staff tried to help but nothing they can do if the room does not get the wifi. Room was shabby - pair of old dusty socks under the bed, shower doors did not meet so bathroom floor got wet. shower head would not hold up so had to shower one handed. Slat missing on the wooden blinds so woke up early with the light coming in my room was definitely not one of those shown on the website!
