Great location for us as our daughter lives very close by. Great having parking and big rooms in the house. We didn't use any of the cooking facilities so cannot comment on them. This place could be absolutely beautiful, but it feels tired and really would benefit from a refurb and new furniture.

The car entry locking system was problematic. Didn't always work or open the gates. The apartment looks great, but on closer inspection it is rather tired and worn out. The sofa is extremely uncomfortable, the coffee table was broken and fixed with sellotape, the table top is not secured to the base, the lamp was broken, the security phone and toilet roll holder both were hanging off the walls, the bathroom is quite shabby, not all the blinds would go up. The bed is two singles pushed together and you can feel the join quite hard in the middle. Hairdryer in the bedroom but no mirror at the table in there.

Very comfortable deluxe place. Breakfast plentiful and nicely presented. Pool and sauna easy to use and never overbusy when we tried it. Staff friendly and helpful. Lots of reception rooms and a library all of which were available to sit in quietly.

We didn't realise that the room we booked was a good 5 minute outdoor walk to the main building where the restaurant was situated. We felt that all the meal menus were overpriced. Of course it was great to have a high class menu, but even the marketplace menu was prohibitively expensive and rather limited.

Lovely time talking to the owner, provided a good breakfast, and was very accommodating. Felt very comfortable, the shower was very powerful and the area had a lovely river walk into the city centre. I would stay here again should I be in the area.

Unfortunately the parking was quite difficult for my car (jaguar xf) when the car park was full, as it's rather tight. I did manage to park there, but I had to park across 2 spaces due to the tightness of the carpark. I would also recommend modernising the rooms, as the decor is rather dated. Finally, as a single traveller, I would have preferred a room with a double bed as opposed to two single beds. However, that might have been an option that I missed. These are relatively miner elements in an otherwise lovely stay.

Myself and 3 friends had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Royal. Excellent customer service throughout, super comfy beds, smashing location, clean and a stellar breakfast. Wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend :)

Easy access from main roads and to the airport. Ideal for one night before or after a flight. It has option for parking included with accommodation which is very handy.
