Perfect location for bakerloo line into the city. We travelled by train and the hotel was 10 minutes walk from marylebone station. Good choice of food at breakfast, cold and cooked breakfast options. Alternative milks on offer together with vegan and vegetarian options.

The room itself was pleasant and the very overworked staff serving breakfast were lovely. Good location close to the sea and Gylly beach.

This was probably a very nice hotel in its prime but is now in need of a bit of TLC. Some of the decor was shabby and it felt a little run down in places. Breakfast was good but rather chaotic due to the fact that the hotel was very understaffed. Bed was only passable, the shower was a bit cold, and there was quite a lot of internal noise, especially doors slamming. It wouldn't take much to turn the hotel around, but I was really expecting something better than this at the price.

Appeared to be short staffed and short of food and beverage. Many items at breakfast ran out mid way through the allotted time. Similar with bar at night 3 night stay had no room cleaning or towel change, without 24hr notice… very strange, short staffed?

I turned up at the apartment to find food crumbs and a broken nail outside the door. When I went in, I immediately realised it did not match the online description of having two bedrooms; instead there was only one. Walking around the property, I found lots of examples of dirtiness: a wrapper under the radiator, chewing gum on the floor, stains on the sofa, toothpaste in the sink, crumbs on the hob, stickiness on the table and discoloured, stained towels. There were also two broken chairs abandoned in the living room and the mirror above the bathroom sink had a big piece missing from the corner, which is a health and safety issue. The intercom didn’t work either, which is an additional inconvenience. I contacted the property owner on WhatsApp, sending photos to prove my findings. He wanted me to move to another of his properties in Leeds, but I stated I did not want to do that, having found this property in such a state. Turns out his other property, in Harehills, has equally negative reviews on here. I requested a refund and he told me I would need to contact Booking.com. I did this promptly but had a lot of difficulty obtaining a refund; the property was initially uncooperative with booking.com and also did not reply to my WhatsApp messages asking about my refund. Eventually I got half the money I paid refunded, with a lot of pushing on my side and continually contacting booking.com, meaning these crooks have kept 50% of my money which they have no right to! Do not book this property unless you want to stay in a very run down, dirty apartment!
