You can’t beat the location of this property! Right next to Fistral beach and just a couple of minutes walk from Newquay town centre. There was also a reasonably priced long stay carpark with an electric charger just across the road which worked perfectly for us. The breakfast was nice with a good selection and beautiful view. Very nice bar area. The downstairs area of the hotel is modern and fitted out really nicely.

Unfortunately we had a couple of issues with the room itself. The bathroom was so tiny that there was barely any room to turn around. Our toilet did not flush and the whole room was very very dated. It was clean and functional but by no means comfortable. It needs a revamp. It smelt a bit funky probably due to age and a proper deep clean. The bed was solid but our biggest issue was that we did not sleep at all due to the walls and floors being so thin. We could hear anytime anybody moved on the floor above us the floorboards were so creaky. Both my partner and I did not get any sleep because of the noise of people moving around in other rooms and hearing beds rocking, footsteps etc.

Me and my friend both had staff act surprised? we were hotel guests about 3 times throughout our stay. It really made us feel uncomfortable like we looked like we couldn’t or shouldn’t be there. It just came off rude.
