Once I had got in to the flat and read the rulebook it was ok. Double bed with towels laid on settee and table in the kitchen. There was a bath, a shower and a toilet in the bathroom. There wasn't much noise from the flat upstairs or from Forest Road outside. With the bedroom door shut and the curtains shut, when you turned the light off it was pitch black. You are given instructions which could be clearer, but I eventually got in. Key for the front door in a key locker gets you into the hallway and number 1 is in front of you. The screen pad that you put the code in is at the top of the door, don't touch the handle and the pad lights up.

Whilst there was hot water, the radiators weren't on. The duvet was warm though.

Everything. Simply, everything. The staff were incredible from the moment we arrived to celebrate my boyfriend’s 40th. The food was devine, lots of beautiful and thoughtful touches in the room and the spa is one of a kind. Let alone how much history is steeped in the building.

The cottage was lovely, had everything we needed apart from iron. Host was lovely. Would defo recommend. Very close for plymouth and torpoint. Great base for weekend and about 45 minutes from torquay .

No iron . Apart from that it was perfect location and more than ideal . You can travel by road to hms Raleigh without using ferry about 20 minute journey .

The room at the back of the hotel was newly refurbished & was very comfortable with everything we needed.

Only the view out of the window!! It looked out onto the hotel yards

It was clean and tidy, which is hard for London standards and the price was also good.

No TV in the room nor bed side tables (there was no space) Lot of space in the kitchen but very little equipment. Would have been nice to have coffee /tea/sugar/milk in the cupboard.

Was a lovely cottage. Well situated. Just up the road from shops & take always.
Negative section of review
The bed linen didn’t smell clean & fresh. Human hairs in both beds on pillows & sheet. What looked like skin on the foot end on bed sheet. Bins in garden needed emptying ! Was such a shame because the cottage could’ve been so nice.

Parking Charge high when actually hotel using NCP car park. Though staff very good bar lounge not that comfortable and more like a grand old 1st class rail station waiting room.
