The bed was really comfortable and there was a ceiling fan which was a big bonus! We had the shared bathroom which was kept clean and the shower was great. It was really quiet, the rooms are quite close together but we didn't hear anyone coming and going! The host was really friendly and a mind of local information on where to go and what to see. We wouldn't have seen dolphins in the wild at Channory Point if it wasn't for him so very thankful! He also cooked up a delicious breakfast each morning, lots of choices available. The B&B is in the perfect location, a 5 minute walk to the river which makes for a lovely walk into the centre with a huge choice of shops, restaurants and bars. There was always live music on somewhere which was a big bonus for us! We didn't take any photos in the room but the attached photos are of our walk down the river into the centre on the way there and back. A stunning sunset!

There was no wardrobe in the room so I had to hang my dresses on the back of the door, it was fine with us only staying 2 nights but if we were there longer it might have been a problem!

A beautiful location with a nice walk down by the loch. Breakfast included in the stay was fantastic and staff were really friendly. We also chose to have dinner on site, this was exceptional.

The room was very dark and above the kitchen so as well as a series of unpleasant smells there was noise until late and walls were very thin between us and other guests. Pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable, need replacing. Bedside lamp did not work adding to the general darkness of the room. Shower was a trickle at best. Generally outdated and poor quality of finish (i.e un-filled holes in walls and ceiling). Given the price expectations were high, however the room fell significantly short of this.

Location and having a parking space. The lady on reception when we collected the keys was lovely. The sofa was very comfortable.

No blinds in the living room meant that we felt a bit uncomfortable in the evenings. It would have been useful to have a quick guide on how to use the TV - the PlayStation was malfunctioning and needed to be rebooted but we weren't sure how to do that and also didnt realise that was how to watch TV (how are guests to know this?). The bed was quite uncomfortable as it sagged in the middle. The bathroom could do with a lick of paint as it's looking a bit grubby around the sink and the towel heater was exceedingly hot with no way to turn it down. There was also no iron. We felt that the place was a little tired and whilst overall we enjoyed our stay, I would have expected more for the price we paid.

Poor staff were struggling due to understaffing. We had breakfast included but we noticed £25 for breakfast which is far too expensive for the choices. Full English was cooked well but Very poor provision on cereal and breads table. Processes not in place, no accessible butter .. when we asked they brought frozen packets. No one asked if we’d like sauce at breakfast. No glasses, no side plates.. no cereal spoons, no extra knives..people were asking all the time for items and the staff had to keep bringing items that should have been there as a matter of course. Evening meal the cauliflower soup was tasteless and £9’for tiny brownie was very unimaginative. Come on owners, your staff are really pleasant and doing their best but your prices are steep for the quality of service the customer is receiving due to not investing in good processes and you need more staff on duty.
