destination reviews from real travellers

How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The pool for the rooms and the main pool were kept clean and bug free. The evening restaurant food was lovely with a range of options, the Thai food was delicious but there were also more western options. The staff were fantastic - specifically a gentleman name William (a member of the bar staff) was exceptionally friendly and made our stay. Free shuttle bus that took you into the centre or to the market was really appreciated. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!”

      - Room is clean and comfortable - Good value for money - Staff are friendly and helpful - Hotel has character and charm - e.g the rooms are still locked with manual keys, wooden beams supporting the ceiling, layout emphasises that it’s a converted property - Managed to get more than 3 hours of sleep, which was considerably more then the last time I stayed in a Wolverhampton hotel

      - As with all hotel showers, practically requires a degree in theoretical physics to figure out and it’s a very small shower - No plug/USB/power sockets near the bed - makes charging your phone and using it at the same time tricky. Not a problem for me as I had a laptop with long charger but something to bear in mind

Bed was super comfy. Probably one of the best I've ever stayed in, actually Noise levels low apart from main road directly outside, but that's to be expected Black out curtains were very effective, albeit slightly too small for the window frames View was beautiful Couldn't hear other guests from inside our room

The toilet leaked, and not just a trickle - every time it was flushed, it poured from the back. We ended up using both shower towels to soak it up Shower had low water pressure My partner tripped over the chair leg and fell in to the table, which broke in half. Upon reporting the damage to the manager upon checking out, we were told the hotel had no insurance to cover the damage and the table would cost us £70 to replace. The manager texted me his personal bank details to transfer the money after calling someone else (his "area manager"), initially putting the phone on speakerphone for us to hear, and the other gentleman began speaking in another language when asked about insurance, which made me retract my intial willingness to pay for damages as this made me feel uneasy, like I was being taken advantage of. No accident book to report the fall in. No forms to fill out. The manager had to leave to catch a cab, so we were left in reception with a text of bank details, no official paperwork, a very bruised leg and back (and this turned out to be a sprained ankle - thankfully not a broken bone!).. Overall, the manager was exceptionally polite and friendly. But an experience like this has, unfortunately, left a very bitter taste and I would recommend choosing another hotel with less shady employees

The location but no sea view

The bathroom and bedroom door were basic slatted cupboard door, this made it very uneasy to use the facilities. The toilet and shower you couldn’t stay is a bathroom, it was a converted cupboard that also had no windows eliminating any are flow, this made showering or using the toilet to interpersonal and uncomfortable. None of this was as described or shown appropriately in the pictures. On the morning of departure we were rudely disturbed by loud banging on the front door, with consideration to the time to vacate the property at 10am, this happened at 8am and once again at 9.15am, making us feel un-welcomed and rushed to leave the premises. The rules that were written about disposal of rubbish were also very intense but even in trying to do so, the appropriate bins for this were not visable, With all this in mind, Unfortunately even with all the pros of self check in amenities and location these unacceptable conditions of stay or the wish to return is most definitely not reflected in the price that we paid, especially on our travels to other places we have had the pleasure of staying at.
