The food is spectacular and the breakfast really excellent. The food the evening before was incredible. Highly recommend eating at the restaurant, and the outside seating for coffee was amazing with lovely countryside atmosphere. The staff were lovely and helpful and when a bedside light would not work, they made an effort to bring one in that was working, so were keen to help.

Enjoyed the authentic and old-fashioned ambience of this historic coaching inn. Staff were helpful and attentive. Characterful rooms with modern amenities. Good menu choice at both dinner and breakfast. Enjoyable walks within the vicinity of the historic old town.

The blinds are damaged which host is aware and will fix them asap. The blinds were damaged by previous patrons. This shows the host will act accordingly to rectify the issue asap.

The owner is absolutely fabulous and my stay was exactly what was needed...not luxury, but comfortable, clean, lovely homely touches & great value for money. A warm welcome and looked after as a solo traveller very well.

The hotel is set up mostly for pick up/drop off only and not for drivers. The majority of parking is around the back of the hotel with no rear entrance, footpath or signage to get to the front leaving you to walk along the car park road with your luggage. Would expect better from a hotel of calibre
