A warm and friendly welcome on arrival by Alicia. Check in quick and efficient. Room nicely furnished, bed very comfortable with good quality quilt, pillows and linen, as were the bathroom towels. Fridge a welcome bonus. Good shower and nicely equipped bathroom. Bar spacious and good seating arrangements to suit all. Again, staff very friendly. Outdoor terrace a nice area, currently under refurbishment but will be a lovely alternative to the bar area, to sit with a drink once completed. Breakfast was exceptional!! Masses of choice, everything you could think of was there from breads, cold meats, cheese, fish, fresh fruit, pastries, to full English, with great choice of juices and hot drinks to accompany. Good check in times and perfect check out time at midday. A really lovely one night stay. I will be back!

Although a refurbished room it was still showing a few little signs of the old in small areas around fittings, door handles, painting, etc. Windows that don’t open to provide any fresh air. Room was very warm. Air conditioning available and is fine when you are moving around the room, but too noisy to leave running over night. I requested a top floor room which I was allocated, had also requested a park view which unfortunately was not available for me. I found the noise from the road 10 floors down carried up to room level and especially from early morning disturbed my sleep on a number of occasions. Never heard as many sirens in the space of a few hours! I am a light sleeper at the best of times hence the request not to be overlooking the city. No bottled water provided. A couple of bottles in the fridge would be a nice touch and very much appreciated. These are all small things which make a a difference although would not stop me from returning. Ear plugs next time! :)

Nice greeting with tea and coffee and cake in lounge. Easy 15 minute walk into centre of Hereford. Had to pre order hot breakfast but it was quite good. Parking in the grounds was easy.

The place needs some TLC. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable. I specifically asked if we could have a room on the 1st floor with a walk in shower due to a knee problem and was told this would be accommodated. We were given a room on the second floor up 32 steep steps with a (not very good) shower over the bath. It is called a hotel but is a guest house at best really.

Really warm welcome by Darren, we also loved his humour, he‘s very entertaining :-) The room was big and nicely furnished, all very clean, and breakfast was very good as well!

Comfortable bed, spacious showers and great location. Privacy curtains in each bed bunk. Spacious lockers.

The room was a bit warm and silence after 11 isn't enforced - I barely slept - but it is a hostel after all. A bit hard to get on the top bunk.

Breakfast to obtain jam which were in jars you had to place a paper cup under a jar.Problem was there was five jam containers side by side you had to pull on a lever to dispence the jam .people pulling the wrong handle very messy.Outside Maine entrance several cigarette butts on ground area not kept clean.
