  Excellent location for exploring Hadrian’s wall area and other local attractions and for walking. We walked the wall to the sycamore gap; not to be missed. Staff were so polite and helpful. Parking was brilliant. Restaurant food was amazing.

  Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Good location. Even though on the main road was not too noisy as room was at back of hotel below ground level. Lovely shower.

  Wall behind bed very dusty. Velux window could have done with a clean but appreciate not easy to access. Had to carry cases down stairs as no lift. Bathroom cold and no option to heat.

  The staff at breakfast were the best!!! The food was nice too, but the people were just so nice although one of them was working on his birthday.

  One night, the fire alarm went off - which is ofc positive as it happened bc someone apparently tried to smoke a cigarette at 2 am, but there should be some warning/advice upon arrival that the alarm is rather unusual - it gives the distinctive feeling that your phone has gone mad and no matter what you do, it just won't stop - my colleague had exactly the same reaction to it.
