I've stayed here twice for work purposes. As a lone female, I was glad to stay on site (there are lodges outside the main hotel). The first stay was on the third floor, it was a lovely room, with a bath and overhead shower in the ensuite, the bed was so comfortable. I had a meal in their restaurant which, was delicious. As I was starting work early they let me take away a breakfast with coffee and couldn't help me enough. I was so pleased I booked here again for my next work trip. The staff are really lovely.

The only thing was that my second stay was on the very top floor in the eaves of the roof, the room.was very pleasant but only had a shower in the ensuite and as I was so close to the roof, I heard every howl of wind and rain. I could of asked for another room but did not want to make a fuss. I will stay here again but will ask not to be on the top floor.

Loved the location. It was so peaceful. The hut was clean and the bed was comfy. Had all the essentials that you need. Only 10 minutes away from Warwick Park and the castle etc. The owner was very attentive.

The lift was painfully annoying. Going to all floors and past the floor you were on. Staff also didn't inform us we needed to swipe the card to access guest floors

The buffet breakfast provided a good selection, unfortunately in my opinion the buffet is set in the wrong place. There is a cold breeze coming through the enterance to the dining room, consequently it made the good cold. The food is set for people entering the dining room, but 99.5% of people find a table first then look at the buffet, from another angle. We were in the dining room for 8.30am. Just my opinion. But wouldn’t bother with breakfast next time. We have had 3 previous breakfast last December, January and February, all really good and hot.

The builders starting work at 7.30 in the morning above our room when we made a comment the reply from the receptionist wasn't the best. We did have a nice few days whitby is lovely and the clientele of the hotel is nice and the staff were friendly helpful and polite
