We liked everything, especially our host Joan who was very friendly, happy, and helpful. Breakfast was first class, cooked by Joan, rooms were beautifully appointed, beds very comfortable. Position is few steps from either the shops, the water, or pubs and restaurants. Across the road to the beautiful Tewkesbury Abbey. Don't miss eating at Salerno Italian restaurant two steps away from the accommodation. Private parking in the back yard of the property is accessed by a laneway. The weekend we were there (1 night only and we wished we had longer) was the Big Weekend and it was very crowded on the Saturday, the activity centred around the water. On the Sunday it was more relaxed. We really enjoyed both days. Thanks Joan for a wonderful stay.

Louise and Mark were amazing hosts and kept in us informed of how to reach and access their property. The Guest House was homely and our room was fantastic with a beautiful view looking towards the harbour. We also enjoyed the little extras supplied in our room and throughout the Guest House. The guest lounge and breakfast rooms were perfect for guests requirements. Breakfast choices were amazing with locally sourced ingredients cooked to perfection by Louise. The property is located a short walk from the High Street, where you’ll find lots of restaurants, shops and the harbour. Thank you Louise and Mark, we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay and your hospitality.

The mattress on the bed in our room was a little too soft for our liking. Everything else was perfect.

Very good breakfast, the option of having it on the table/courtyard outside the room rather than in the dining room was a very nice touch. The person who served breakfast also came back to check everything was OK and if there was anything else we wanted. Room and bed was very comfortable, clean, everything worked/ was in very good condition. I've stayed in plenty of places that call themselves "boutique", might have started that way, have great photos, but the reality a few years in is different.... The standard of the room here was excellent and worth the price.

There wasn't anything I didn't like, so the following is trying to be helpful rather than being critical. What would have made me rate it higher than an 8/10 would have been a bit more enthusiasm/sharing of local knowledge- we didn't know the local area so asked for some recommendations re walks and places to eat. I know these kind of questions/potential responses can be fraught with danger as everyone's tastes are different, but we were none the wiser by the end of what ended up as quite a short conversation.

The title 'Lovely Stable Mews' is truly accurate. Mark is an excellent host and was extremely helpful throughout, even when we managed to lock ourselves out! The location is ideal for a short stroll into the lovely town centre area with many eateries and shopping to be found. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, comfortable and made an ideal base for exploring the lovely countryside and castles nearby. This was an excellent choice for our needs and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks Mark!!!

Parking is 'snug' but this is fully explained, with photos. The next door neighbour, Kate, is lovely. The other, not so, but it really isn't a problem if you just shrug it off and accept that this is where they live. This wasn't a deal-breaker by any measure though, the place was great!

The breakfast was lovely, had variety of cereals Toast, butter, jam provided, fresh orange juice as well! Local was good easy to get around for me to the shops and parks.

Unfortunately l didn't use the toaster provided in the room due to being used regularly by other people it didn't loon like it had been cleaned out, but also we're the bread goes in the sliced sections it was very black.

Entrance...shanty town.Nothing like pictures.Shower awful, hot and cold..burnt us or froze us to death.Rail in bathroom fell off and landed on my toe.Living area settee, throws and carpet need a good clean.Believe it or not I have never ever been so negative about a property....I have given 3 bad reviews in over 25 years .Honestly.And I am only doing this now so you can correct it for future paying guests....Never ever have I had to pay a damage deposit (only abroad) This is a genuine review to hopefully help.
