Positive section of review
We were very pleased with our stay. The rooms/beds are large, clean, and comfortable with a lovely view of the bay and surrounding village. The location is within walking distance of several restaurants and shops; just make sure you make reservations early as this can be quite a busy town with tourists. The Oban Inn was small but very nice; we chatted with several other travelers and the food was very good. The gentleman that runs the corner liquor store was very helpful. Finally, Joy provided clear instructions for the self-check in. Please make sure you don't forget to leave the keys! I would highly recommend the 73 George St. Apartment.

No major issue. There is no elevator so be prepared to carry bags up the stairs. We didn't mind the walk but a heavy suitcase could be a challenge. I always appreciate hints regarding the location of kitchen items or restaurant recommendations.

The location is excellent - far from the noise and the crowds but an easy walk through the Southbank shore, over the bridge, and into the theatre and shopping districts. The breakfast room and the breakfast is also great. I love the Alice in Wonderland theme. It's beautifully done.

The room is good if a little dated, but primarily the problem is that there is no air-conditioning, only heating. This is totally fine if you're staying at the hotel for 11 months out of the year, but in August it is STIFLING at night.

I like the location. It's closer to shops like Tesco, 2 mins walk. Also, it is closer to takeaway shops.

The entire hotel is shabby. Everything is very old and needs full refurbishment. The hotel is more of Labourers hostel. There are flies everywhere in the room. No air-condition. The bathtub is a slippery metal type. The entire hotel is the 18th-century cowboy motel.

Large crack in toilet bowl. TV remote erratic, many TVchannels not available. Carpets were worn. Check in staff looked bored, non smiling.
