We were attending a nearby wedding and booked the Old Vicarage as our accommodation. It was well located and in such a beautiful setting. We received a lovely welcome from our hosts, who have created a really calm and comfortable space. We would love to come again and stay a bit longer next time. The breakfasts alone are worth returning for!

The room was quiet,clean and roomy. The evening meal was excellent value for money with good quality food and good size portions. Breakfast again was good quality, excellent service and lovely out look over the pond.

There needs to be more specific information on how to get to the hotel from the nearest motorway junction. A good map would be most useful plus written I description / directions on how to get there. Google maps was very confusing as it kept wanting to take us off the motorway miles away! Also our request for directions to the hotel was not answered!

You could hear the people above walking around so loudly, and in the hallway, people in and out . The cleaning of the kitchen could have been better . I flagged this to the contact person and nothing was actioned on the cleaning (more told they would feedback to the cleaners, they didn’t require my pics I was happy to email) . We had a knock at our door at 10.30am the first morning of our stay to fix our shower door, which is great for being proactive but we were not notified in advance of this. I see why they came to fix it as it was swinging, but it was left in a dirty state when fixed. The shower itself is great pressure. The sofa was stained and not comfortable as you could feel the metal bracket of the sofa bed come through as you lounged on it .

We arrived to be told our room wasn't ready and this was way after 5:30pm and we had somewhere to be! We were kept sweet by been told they had upgraded us, but it was the room we paid for anyway. The hotel from the outside is full of scaffolding, not very pleasant to look out of the window at!
