The beds were comfy, and it seemed like the hosts, Chris and Heidi, had thought of almost everything! They were really friendly and chatty, they were always available without being imposing and seemed liked they genuinely love hosting. Lovely place!

Very friendly and efficient staff. Spotlessly clean and comfortable room. good food, safe parking for a motorcycle and as an added bonus they have Old Pulteney (my favourite dram) in the bar...cannae beat it !

The room was very cold and the heat didn't seem to work if I tried to turn up. Booked an early check-in for 1 o clock and confirmed. Was on a very early flight to go to the Newcastle game at 3 o clock so I booked the hotel due to the earlier time. I paid for the room including the extra when I left the bag earlier that morning. When I went back to get room , I was told none was ready while other people got rooms while waiting. Staff on the desk told us that they book too many for earlier check in . Eventually after telling them we booked the hotel for the reason of the earlier check-in , 1 room became available and we were given it and a complimentary free drink. The staff were nice but the system in place is not great.

I payed £200 for the king room which was the basic one, the room was really dated and doesn’t even have chargers near the bed; when we got there, the sink was stuck closed and we had to open it out selves. As soon as we turned up we had maintenance knocking the door to fix a light in the wardrobe when they was both working. I just feel like the room could do with an update especially for the price you pay.

Limited parking which was extra Had to check out by 10:30 on a Sunday and breakfast 07:30 to 10:30 We did feel that water could have been provided in the room as unavailable to purchase when the room cost £185 for one night minimum.

There was a strong smell of drains in our room. We went to reception first thing in the morning and they moved us for the 2nd night. Excellent after that.

The bed was far too small, my husband is 6ft4 and it was a double bed, his feet were hanging off the end and there was not much room.
