We was greeted and checked in by the lovely Eavann who had a huge smile. She's such an amazing, friendly, informative lady who's such a credit to Tara Lodge. The beds made me feel like I was sleeping on a cloud, unbelievably comfy. The hotels in a fantastic location. We went to a gig at Ormeau Park which was within walking distance, as well as other places like bars and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious. The ladies who was working breakfast were lovely too.

We could hear other people moving around their rooms. After a long day walking and dancing I had a very deep sleep so didn't hear this much during the night.

The location is excellent for access to the beach, town and golf club, both are within ten minutes walk. A short drive to Tollymore and Mourne mountains for hill walking. The house is very comfortable and clean in a quiet location. House close bus stops into Newcastle and Belfast. Newcastle has a great range of cafes, restaurants, pubs and activities for children.

Location very good as a base for exploring the Lakes and walking out into the countryside without having to take the car. Spacious property, quiet and peaceful - comfortable bedroom - quality facilities.

How easy it was to access the property and information was clear and concise. The layout was great and bed linens were fabulous. - Beds very comfortable.

The only thing we would have liked is an extra toilet roll or 2 or advised to bring extra toilet rolls. Potential for more baking trays for cooking. The rug in the lounge could do with cleaning and somewhere to hang towels outside. other than that we thought it was fabulous!

Bed was comfy, pillows were fab. Very clean, Very close to car park. Very quiet Looks like a great place for weddings and parties.

For the price we felt the room was no better than a budget Premier Inn, Very basic and I like a bath.The breakfast area was too cramped and the choice was small e.g no fruit, nuts, seeds or yoghurt.

Cleanliness, the room was not that clean. The towels were stained, disgusting, one towel we could not use because seemed to be with remains of other people make up… very disappointed

No power points by the bed! Front desk staff not very friendly. Maybe having a bad day? But many guests will have arrived after a long flight and a smile makes all the difference
