This is an old castle that has been partially modernised. The rooms are quirky, paying homage to their origin, but i really liked it. There are only a few staff but they do a great job. Food was simple but very good.

It is a wee bit of the the beaten track, but i'd say still worth going to if you are in Glasgow and fancy a change from the usual business hotels

Breakfast was lovely every morning, hosts were fantastic and couldn't have been nicer. Location perfect, only short walk to Tower and North pier. Room cleaned immaculately every morning.

Bed slightly too short, but I am 6'1. Room was very warm with heating on, but again weather was very stuffy and warm. Could have done with a plug socket nearer bed.

First impressions the gardens need tidying up grass needs cutting, the kitchen floor was sticky unsure what it had been cleaned with and some units need handles replacing, the coffee table in the living room is chipped would look better with a standard coffee table there. Overall the house needs a bit of tlc.

The owner of the property requested photo ID's to be sent via messaging outside of booking.com (whatsapp) then didn't reply until an hour after check in - meaning we had no confirmation, and no way of accessing the property. His excuse was "I was probably driving" whilst leaving us with no way of accessing the property - not even an apartment number.
