What a gorgeous hotel - warm, cosy, clean and welcoming and the staff were wonderful. We had evening and breakfast at the hotel both of which were delicious. Location is perfect, there is a small car park onsite. There is also free public parking just behind the hotel. Warkworth is a beautiful little village with an impressive English Heritage castle 5 mins walk away and Warkworth beach is a 2 mins drive away. Would definitely make a return visit.

WiFi was patchy but didn’t detract from the enjoyment of our stay.

The location was good and it was close to a lot of shops and amenities. The rooms were clean and tidy and it was a comfortable space for 4 people. When we arrived we had an issue with the basin plug but the owners were very responsive and someone came over not long after and fixed the issue.

The main bed was not quite comfortable and it was hard to get to sleep with the street noise at times. Parking was hard to find in the area and when we arrived back from a day out the car parks had been taken up by some of the real estate people underneath the unit. They were very obliging and moved once I had found out whose car they were. To get to the parking you had to go into a back street to get on the the one way Edward street.

Bar was lovely. Bed was comfy. Arrived early and grateful to be able to check in straight away. Unfortunately not with rooms near our friends- four rooms scattered about the hotel.

Bathroom pretty tired. Management of breakfast very poor. Long queue despite many empty tables. It was as if the staff were trying to make it deliberately awkward and make it seem busier than it was. Employ enough staff and if necessary open another restaurant area. The buffet area was too compact and juice dispensers were empty. I have never had to queue for breakfast in a supposed 4* hotel.

Apartment was beautiful. Stylishly decorated and spotlessly clean. The town of Beauly is quiet and the apartment is well positioned right on the High Street.
Negative section of review
Hard to locate the building with tiny sign and the town does not have a lot of facilities for eating or drinking. The locals in the Lovatt hotel seemed to find us very interesting, we've never been stared at so much. Karaoke in the priory made my ears bleed. The Priory was also boarded up. Don't try the haggis in the Priory, it had no haggis in it. Apartment great, town disappointing

Good value for money and right off motorway for our onward travel. Clean and room newly renovated. Tea and coffee facilities good. TV streaming good.

A lovely looking building, within reasonable walking distance of town. The beds were very comfortable and a great hot shower.

Spartan. I was expecting more for the money I had to pay. A few things needed fixing and showing their age, despite the ad saying it was recently refurbished... would be fairer to say a few things have been refurbished. Owner is using a complicated online checking in system. I have stayed in 18 short term rooms this year, and none of them have asked for online ID and photo. Is this another sign of the increasing criminality and lack of trust of our times???? If you book, please make sure you have the IT skills to cope with this time consuming exercise. Street parking not impossible, but you need to park on a single yellow line. Thats fine if you are an early riser and can and want be of the parking fine zone by 8am, or the alternative is to pay £7 per night. Rather glad we only stayed one night.
