The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

A fantastic change to the normal boring generic chain hotels. Beautiful hotel with fantastic restaurant, bar, outdoor seating for drinks & dinner etc. Every detail has been thought out perfectly. Really beautiful hotel & fantastic for our dogs to! They travel everywhere with us & this is the best hotel for us & them we've been to in years. Beautiful location. Love the layout with the separate rooms in separate buildings in the original coaching style inn it once was. Would highly recommend this fabulous hotel to anyone. Also the sloe Gin in our room was a very nice touch. As well as the very nice tea & coffee etc.

It was a lovely and family friendly place, they have animals that the children can feed. The staffs were amazing and accommodating. Clean and quiet environment. I highly recommend it and value for money.

The property is extremely tired. In the drawing room, parts of the painted paper on the ceiling were hanging off. Everywhere needs painting. I have not long had a hip replacement and as there is no lift, was expected to carry a very heavy case upstairs myself. Thankfully, the receptionist did it for me but I had to take it down myself the next day. In the room, where I had breakfast, all the chairs seem to be on their last legs. When the 'receptionist' served me my breakfast her jacket sleeves were 'caressing' my toast....which I didn't eat

location, facilities, cleanliness, cosy bed, good quality.

being charged extra for electricity on a daily basis (price of which wasn't clarified in advance)when already paying a premium compared to local prices - elec meter also makes a very loud noise (seems esp loud at night when all else is quiet). Cost for dog stays also not confirmed in advance, only just prior to actually visiting. Bag of iIce left in freezer from a previous guest, who knows whose hands have been in there! Fireplace not cleaned out from previous occupant. Also slightly miffed at providing my own towel. All above in the context of it being sold as a "Luxury" Lodge.
