A very good pub/hotel in a wonderful part of the world and in a very pretty village. Ideal location for our 1 night stay. The welcome was excellent and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. My room was top notch - comfortable and with everything I needed. Parking was at the back of the hotel and nicely secluded from view. Dinner in the restaurant was good, rounding off a memorable stay.

The staff were excellent. The food was really good but the hours were a little restive. Room was spotlessly clean. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel with buses to picking and Whitby.

Nothing. The tea and coffee facilities in the room were good.

Room was small, dark and looking tired. Lift was broken. Only credit cards on 1st day then only cash on the 2nd day. The Internet was down as was all comns for the premises. No ales available at the bar. The one keg on order had not arrived. Staff on day 1 were helpful but day 2 no one seemed to care. It was all head offices fault.

Lifts were out of action, 6 flights to 2nd floor up the fire exit, only bathroom light working in room, no signal on t.v. it did not bother me due to the time I arrived but informed staff for future reference
