      Hotel's location is very convinient. Close to Tower Bridge (appr 7 mins walk). There are plenty of locations to have dinner or breakfast. This is basically London's business area. Underground is 3 mins walk. Bus station is right in front of the hotel. Room is small but not extremely. Hairdryer and TV in the room. Soap and shampoo provided in the bathroom, towels are clean and plenty. A very ecofriendly hotel (though I always miss the possibility to open the windows..). I would recommend staying here. Check-in was easy, check-out even easier.

      The whole experience at the George exceeded our expectations. All staff were cheerful and friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. The room was bright and welcoming and spotlessly clean, with daily cleaning of the room. Breakfast was excellent, with a choice of cooked breakfast plus cereals, juices, etc,and seconds of tea, coffee, and toast if required. There was free on-site parking at the front of the George,which was well laid out.

      I loved the breakfasts. My husband likes the English breakfast, but I don’t. There was an excellent selection of nuts, cereals, fruit, bread, cheese and salad. The best breakfast I have had in an English hotel! Also liked being near the station.

      We stayed in our room till 11.00 am one morning, then went out until 7pm. Our room wasn’t cleaned but when we complained a very nice lady came to clean it. We thought it was quite expensive as we had to pay extra for the breakfasts. The Gino d’Acampo restaurant is excellent for breakfast but seems expensive for other meals.

      The check in was unpleasant, the guy checking us in was rude at best! This put a sour taste in our mouth straight away. The room was very noisy, with rain tapping on the window frame all night long! Then come 07:00 we had the joy of very load clattering and banging starting outside our window from trolleys and so on being wheeled across the rough block paving below. The shower... the last time I had a shower that bad was in the 1980's as a kid when my mother had a push on the tap shower attachment over the bath - I could spit harder than the shower in the room, having clambered over the bath to stand it in, which in this day and age is a prehistoric arrangement. As we were awake and feeling extremely unrelaxed and seriously annoyed we went for breakfast ahead of the long drive back to West Sussex. Well... what a load of rubbish! The worst breakfast I have ever had!! MY fiance's breakfast was as dry as you could make it, one mouthfull each and we were out the door to find a cafe for breakfast!!! A truly disapointing stay.

      No tea or coffee facilities in the room plus no spare pillows. The water pressure in the shower was rather tame on the 1st floor rooms! No catering on site, room only!
