The staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean, but perhaps a little tired, in our room. The tea/coffee area was OK, but sadly, no biscuits, which are handy when peckish... Beautiful sea view - which is what we went for - and 100% recommend you book if that's what you're after👌 Breakfast was fine, everything presented clean, plenty of choice, and the cooked food didn't look like it was in a war zone, as in some hotels, but we did stay in May which is quieter than some other months. Staff on hand to top up if it was needed. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay for RnR by the sea, and we definitely recommend you consider the Best Western Exmouth Beach Hotel.

In our room, some of the windows couldn't be opened because they were screwed shut. There are safety wires on the ones that did open, so presume this was done as a cheaper alternative than replacing old windows (note - they are upvc and perfectly safe). As we had great weather, it would have been nice to open all windows to allow a flow of fresh air. The bathroom was clean, though tired, and needs updating. The fan in the bathroom was very noisy and was loud enough to wake me when my partner went for a midnight wee... Breakfast was OK, but the sausages had been sat for a while, so a bit hard... The coffee was hot, but perhaps a bit weak. Sadly, the bar wasn't open... so a bimble downstairs for a night cap wasn't to be...

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of disappointing. Despite checking in at 2 am due to unforeseen circumstances, we were rudely awakened by room service before 11:00 am, which left us feeling exhausted and frustrated. To make matters worse, we accidentally left behind a valuable pure linen dress, which we specifically remember hanging on the bathroom door. When we contacted the hotel a few hours later, they claimed they couldn't find it. The lack of accountability and disregard for guests' belongings is simply unacceptable. Overall, our experience was marred by poor service and a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction.

It was approximately 20minutes walk into Windsor. There is a bus stop just outside the house. There is a shop across the road & it is reasonably priced, it has a good variety of items . The area is pleasant & quiet . The house was clean, the kitchen & bathroom & carpets were all in good condition. The shower was very good with plenty of warm water. The host always answered any questions we had.

The entrance to the house is covered by a large over grown laurel hedge in great need of attention, it blocks natural light & warmth from the living room making it feel cool & dull. Everywhere in the house is painted white & not well painted or well finished. There are no pictures of Windsor or London attractions which is what most tourists come for. No information about Windsor. The house had a musty smell. The sofa's were uncomfortable. The back garden was neglected & overgrown & therefore couldnt be used which was such a pity as the weather was warm & sunny. The house has great potential with orginial features that are not being highlighted. The garden has great possibilites with orginal red brick walls & mature trees but sadly left overgrown & the garden was therefore out of use. There was no tea/coffee or small carton of milk left which would have cost little & been welcoming. The bed linen was clean but starting to show signs of wear. The fitted bed sheets were pilling .The pillows were very poor quality. This house has so much going for it by character alone, a little more TLC & a bit more spent on bed linen ,garden etc would make such a difference. Overall the house was clean which was very important. A folder with information regarding bus & train times & location with information about the house and the heating would be helpful. There was plenty of toilet rolls & there was kitchen roll available which is a big plus. Unfortunately the bathroom door lock didnt work.

We had a great stay at the Aberdeen Arms. The staff were immediately welcoming and helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. It's a beautiful spot and we were very glad to be there.
