Loved the remote venue, the property is beautifully finished and furnished. The bedding and towels were good quality and the beds extra firm. The sofa is huge and very comfortable. Loved the view and was rewarded by visits from red kites and eagles the first day.

Could do with a welcome pack to explain how everything worked. We searched for ages to find the Wi-Fi code only to discover it was unsecured eventually. The hidden cutlery drawer and the different kettle settings were also an adventure. No vacuum cleaner available for the floors. The heating had a strange timetable and no instructions on how to turn it down even though our weeks stay was warm. No Wi-Fi or phone reception in the bedrooms. Silly little niggly things that could easily be corrected.

The location is excellent and the staff go above and beyond. We've stayed 4 times now and Yvonne has been brilliant, She has remembered us from previous times and always makes time to have a wee chat.

Light bulbs missing in room dirty glasses in room no machine to make my coffee, that was given to another guest . Disappointed.

The property does not have parking, we ended up having to move cars several times and pay for parking. The house is too small for 6 adults & with only one bathroom it’s not ideal. The basement bedroom smelt damp and was very cold.

Rude staff Stained towels and bedding. The cleaner entered our room to clean well before the stated departure time. Shame really as the hotel has a lot of potential with the the staff with the right attitude

Room was tiny, stuffy, bathroom was the smallest I've ever encountered. Not cleaned once and we were there 10 days . Had to ask for toilet paper. Hallways had plaster falling off the walls, dirty carpets with paint splashes. Fire doors wedged open. My son had to be given another room as there was tiles missing and also loose in his bathroom. Soap scum and faecal matter on the shower tiles. Our sheets had dirty marks and hair on them. Pillows were stained and old. Mould on the walls and a stained carpet. Worst hotel stay ever. Too many issues to list. Yes they are renovating, but wasn't advised of this. Website pictures are taken of the rooms that have been renovated and does not accurately reflect the actual disrepair and filth we observed.
