The cottage was amazing, very spacious for two people and could comfortably accommodate four. The location was just a minutes walk from Bakewell center. Easily accessible for day trips out of town. It was extremely clean and had all you needed for your trip. They have lots of added extras, even a well stocked spice rack and other accompaniments, with an honest box, should you wish to use any. The little added extras made this place that extra special. Would highly recommend, and will certainly be returning.

The cottage is on one of the main roads out of town, but as we were out most of the time and with little to no traffic in the late hours, we hardly even noticed.

We’ve been visiting the Hafod for many years, but this was our first overnight stay, and it didn’t disappoint. The renovation is classy- our room was beautifully decorated and kitted out - lovely toiletries, comfortable bed etc. Loved the lighting and attention to detail. Food was outstanding as always, staff friendly and helpful. Well done all at the Hafod, you seem to be getting better and better 😍

Excellent staff in all respects. Polite, professional, very friendly and helpful. Freshly cooked meals were delicious - breakfast and dinner. Comfortable room and beds also good bathroom with brilliant spacious shower(s).

The lighting in the room was rather dim. Also overall the room was quite hot - even though no heating was on, and double -glazing only seemed to open in one of the windows - so not much air able to be let in.

It was run down. The bathroom was awful. Staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. Don't advise eating there if you have any food intolerances/allergies.
